Originally a hospice for pilgrims dating back to 1140 the building is now houses a restaurant and several bedrooms.
The restaurant has two set menus: Traditional and Seasonal with a few variations depending on the season. The Clusaz offers serves the quality and vitality of traditional Val d’Aosta dishes.
The careful restoration of the XX century pilgrim’s refuge on the building’s upper floor, has created 14 inviting rooms on the building’s upper floor. The thoughtful decor, has created quiet, compact and complementary rooms, each falling under the categories of Relax, Panorama or Environment.

How to get here by car

From Italy: Leave the A5 motorway at the Aosta EST exit and follow the signs for the Great St. Bernard Tunnel. You will go through a number of tunnels and the small town of Gignod.  After a few more bends in the road, you will come to the Inn/Restaurant of “La Clusaz” on your left, at the 12.5 km mark on the SS 27 main road. There is ample parking space beside the Inn.

From France: After the Mont Blanc Tunnel, continue on the motorway until the Aosta EST exit, then follow the signs for the Great St. Bernard Tunnel. After negotiating a few tunnels and the built-up area of Gignod, continue along the winding road until you come to the Inn/Restaurant of “La Clusaz”, at the 12.5 km mark on the SS 27. There is ample parking space beside the inn. If you decide to take the main trunk road after the Mont Blanc Tunnel, rather than the motorway, drive into the town of Aosta and there follow the signs for the Great St. Bernard Pass, turning left at the Hospital roundabout. Continuing along the Valley of the Great St. Bernard, you will go through the tunnels and built-up area of Gignod. A few bends further on, you will come to the Inn/Restaurant of “La Clusaz” on your left, at the 12.5 km mark on the SS 27.

From Switzerland: On arriving in Italy via the Great St. Bernard Tunnel, or over the Pass itself, continue in the direction of Aosta. After passing through the attractive little town of Etroubles, you will see the unmistakable long outline of the building housing the Inn, with its elegantly decorated façade, on the left hand side of the SS27 road. There is a large car park for patrons beside the inn.

How to get here by public transport

The nearest railway station is in Aosta. The bus station is opposite the train station. Gignod Bus Service (around 10 services a day, with a reduced Sunday service). The bus stop is in front of the hotel.
